The Ladies

Vol 5. Issue 3

I love being a woman despite some of the negatives we tend to go through. And that can be anything from pain in love, pain in labor or pain in female un-justice. At the end of the day let me say the women are running it! Now I’m sure some men are like, please let’s not push it with the women empowerment, but let’s be real with this. Women are the back bones to our men. We come to the rescue every time to cuddle and soothe our men or children from harm or hurt.

Last month Black women in particular were dogged by the likes of a Mr. Don Imus (media personality), who referred to a group of young Black female basketball players as “Nappy Headed Ho’s”. What can I say here, we are still living in a time where women are not getting their due respect and Black women are still referenced as slave slops left behind to take whatever is thrown their way.

Well speaking as an educated Black women, I say Hell no- we won’t go!! I also believe that respect received is respect given. We as women can’t allow or display signs that we are okay with how men in general reference us. You know there are still men out here who think all a woman is good for is food on the table and sex and babies. As sad as this is its very true in some thinking, and this is where any and all women must knock down the door in telling men that this is not the case. We are strong, intelligent and worthy of respect and it’s about time we got it by any means necessary.

With this said let me say Happy Mothers day to all the ladies with and with out children, as we rise to become stronger and we rise to gain respect in strength.

Respect is indeed due!

      Peace

Mission Statement

This newsletter was brought to light to vent issues that just make us all want to scream. This writing arena allows to freely express our concerns about the plight of a people and how and can we improve ourselves. I along with many people had things small and big on our minds, and how we were affected being educated, or just being in tuned with the problems and discussing the matter rather avoiding them.

 Enjoy the talk.

To run, To play, to hear, to soothe, to tire, to aggress, to ponder why, what, and where. My pressure accelerates, as I try to understand what the higher entity has for me. I watch in amazement at the going on' s of the world - "Is there a place where my observation of the world can be "Shouted out" in an "Era", with so much and so little to "Gain"? What worldly "Trends" circles around me? Let me set my issues in gentle cycle, and if need be, the temperature will be set to hot. As I scream out in dismay and fed up moans. Let my words be heard, before I'm washed away. Prepare and allow a SOURCE for redemption.
