Text Box: GAY PREACHERS

These two words could open, and have, a debate for years to come.  Gay preachers – there shouldn’t be any unless you mean “gay” as in “ha-ha”. But a practicing homosexual – I don’t think so.  Why?  Because the Bible says it’s a sin (Leviticus 18) along with sleeping with your mother, father, sister, brother, sacrificing your children or sleeping with animals.  Yes we all sin, but I’m going to have a real hard time listening to you talking about my sin, when you yourself are throwing yours in my face.  But then for me that goes for any preacher that tires to cover up her/his sin by shouting about mine.

Linda

I wanted in on this as well!

I’m sorry I can’t see the two in the same sentence. In my opinion it’s unheard of a gay pastor/ priest/ monk/ man of cloth and a deliverer of the word from God. Hum, that is beyond strange to me. It’s one thing to have your beliefs in how you wish to live your life- no problem.

But when you are parading through the church speaking about all other sin and pussy footing on the subject of homosexuality as not a sin- then I don’t know that’s a bit questionable. We need more of these people behind the cloth and or uniforms to stop hiding behind this façade and keep it real! This is not to say they don’t love the lord or what have you, but for the love of pete! - You can’t be that gullible to believe that most people will agree to this kind of conformity- can you?

Whatever!

Text Box: FAMILY REUNIONS

Reunions can be a great source of fun and reflection as long as you’re not the one putting it together.  If all you’re doing is sending in your money and showing up when required then you will definitely enjoy yourself.  Unfortunately, as with any family there are certain members you would like not to invite.  There’s the busybody (just has to call everybody to see what they think about where the reunion will be held and the cost).  The gossip, the one that has to call and remind everybody of any problems encountered in previous years (what they were and who was involved).  The complainers (that’s too much money or we went there before).  The control freaks (let the younger people organize as long as they do it my way).  Just keep in mind that this only occurs every year or so and plow through the few days.
